ElectroAir launches EA-BESS project with support from EIS
Table of contents
ElectroAir supported by EIS
ElectroAir is proud to announce its continued innovation in aviation power technology with the support of EIS and the European Regional Development Fund. This initiative marks a significant leap in our capabilities to deliver hybrid and renewable energy-based Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for the aviation sector.
Goals & expected results
• Develop an integrated battery-based GSE power solution with optional solar panels and SCADA control.
• Reduce emissions and environmental impact during aircraft servicing operations.
• Create a scalable product that can be used across airports, hangars, and maintenance hubs globally.
Expected result: A completed system that integrates renewable energy, energy storage, and mobile GPU output.
Funding & support
Name of the Project: “EA-BESS”, Battery Energy Storage Solution.
Registration number: 2021-2027.1.01.25-0951
Period of Project Duration: 01.04.2025 – 30.03.2027.
The aim of the project is to develop a battery energy storage system (EA-BESS – “Battery Energy Storage Solution”) designed for the efficient and rational collection, storage, and use of electrical energy. The system uses modern batteries to store excess energy when energy production is high (for example, from solar panels) or when electricity prices are low. It also includes an input option for charging the batteries from a generator in emergency situations (depending on the customer’s choice).
The name of the Fund: EIS – Estonian Business and Innovation Agency
Total cost of the project: 853,685.00 EUR
The amount of the grant: 298,789.75 EUR
This support plays a crucial role in enabling ElectroAir to bring cutting-edge, environmentally sustainable products to the global aviation market.
